• Oak Hill Park: New railings will be installed around the square green, with the work planned for completion by November.

• Rhyddings Park: Phase 1 of the playground refurbishment is complete! A huge thank you to the Friends of Rhyddings Park for their invaluable support. Phase 2, focusing on the area within the trees, will begin later this year.

• King George V Playing Fields, Baxenden: Tenders for the major drainage works will be released shortly. We anticipate this work will begin on-site in September 2025.

• Gatty Park: Looking ahead, the parks team is now developing plans for a refurbishment of the play area, with work aimed to commence in mid-2026.
