 Accrington Greening Projects
• Avenue Parade Gardens: Work has been ordered for the gardens and the new sculpture. The main mural, themed around the WWI-era sculpture, the final design is to be available soon for sign off and the work mural is scheduled for installation between July and August.
• Canine Club Site: A second mural is planned for the site opposite the Canine Club, with the design currently underway. While the majority of landscaping work is complete, we are still awaiting the installation of benches, bins, planting and ground-level artwork.
• Bank Street (junction with Warner Street): A third nature-themed mural is planned for this site opposite the Canine Club, with the concept chosen but no design as yet.
• Oak Street: Work at the bottom of Oak Street is underway and scheduled for completion within the next two weeks.
• Town Hall: Once other projects are further along, we will assess the remaining budget for potentially refurbishing the planters and benches near the Town Hall.
