Our Parks Department spent this afternoon planting a wildflower meadow in Cutwood Park with children from St Charles R.C. Primary School in Rishton Just 1% of the UK is now covered by native wildflower and Hyndburn Borough Council wants to do something about it!
This newly created meadow, the largest such to be established in any of our Green Flag parks, has been sown with native wildflower species which will support our much needed and declining pollinator species 
In addition to increasing Hyndburn’s biodiversity, the meadow will bring a beautiful array of summer colour to this corner of Rishton.
